NO-COMMISSION BOOKING
Take the booking. Keep the whole trip price.
The trips you book yourself — your regulars, your referrals, the people who call you — shouldn't carry a finder's fee. Timber & Tackle is flat $19 a month, zero commission, no per-booking cut. The trip price is yours, paid straight to your own account.
Think about where your trips actually come from. A marketplace finds you strangers, and it charges a commission for that — fair enough; finding strangers is real work, and it's work we don't do at all. But most of a working guide's calendar isn't strangers. It's the client who came back, the buddy he sent, the guy who Googled your name because someone at the ramp said it. That business you already earned. It shouldn't cost you a percentage to book it.
Timber & Tackle charges one flat fee — $19 a month, or $190 a year — and takes nothing per booking. When a client books on your own site, the money goes to your own Stripe account. No commission, no percentage, no cut of the trip you guided. The only per-transaction cost is standard card processing, which goes to Stripe, not us. And it's free until you accept your first booking.

Keep 100% of the trip price
A $650 charter is $650 to you, minus only the card fee every platform pays. Run 10 trips or 200 — the software cost stays flat.
No cut on the clients you brought
The client who booked you last season, the referral, the guy who searched your name — you found them. Booking them on your own site costs no finder's fee, because there was no finder.
Money to your own account
Deposits and balances land in your own Stripe — no platform wallet holding your money, no payout delay dictated by anyone else.
No lock-in
Flat month-to-month or annual. Your site, your domain, your client list — export everything anytime. You're building an asset, not renting a spot in a grid.
How it works
- 1
Set your trips and prices
List your trips, seasons, and deposit amounts — the way you actually run them, at the prices you actually charge.
- 2
Take the booking on your own site
Your regulars, referrals, and name-searchers book through your own branded site. You accept the request, they pay a deposit to your account.
- 3
Guide the trip, keep the money
The deposit and balance are yours. There's no commission line, because there's no commission.
- 4
Grow without the fee growing
Book more trips and your cost doesn't move. The savings compound in your pocket, not a platform's.
Why it matters
A commission is honest pricing for a stranger a platform went and found. It stops being honest when it rides on the client you found yourself — the repeat, the referral, the name search. That's the line we draw, and it's the one promise we'll hold to: we will never take a cut of a client you brought us.
Flat-fee booking is how you sell margin and ownership instead of leads. You keep the price, the client, and the brand — and the math only gets better the more you book. Keep the marketplace listing for the strangers it brings; this is for everything else.
Straight answers.
Is there really no per-booking fee?
Correct — no commission and no per-booking percentage from us, ever. One flat monthly or annual subscription. The only per-transaction cost is standard Stripe card processing, which every platform incurs and which goes to Stripe.
How is the money handled?
Bookings are paid to your own connected Stripe account — deposit up front, balance on your terms. We never hold your money in a platform wallet.
What does it cost?
It's free until you accept your first booking. After that, $19 a month or $190 a year (two months free) — flat, whether you run a handful of trips or a full season. From February 1, 2027 the price is $29 a month for new guides; anyone already on the $19 founding rate keeps it for as long as they stay subscribed.
Can I still keep my marketplace listings?
Yes, and you should if they're working. A marketplace is genuinely good at finding you strangers, and that's a thing we don't do. Keep the listing; run your own site beside it for the clients you already have.
Will you ever take a commission?
Not on a client you brought us — that's a promise, not a plan. If we ever build a directory that sends a guide a stranger he'd never have met, that booking is the only kind we'd take a cut of, and it would be his choice to be in it.
